iPhone tip - How do I add a bookmark to my Home Screen

If you visit the same websites on your iPhone all the time you can add the website to your safari bookmarks as mentioned previously.

But how do I go about adding an icon to my home screen (that looks like an app) that will both open safari AND go to the webpage in one click?

Well, I am glad you asked....here's how:

• Open Safari and visit the page you want to create a shortcut to.
• Press the soft button in the middle, bottom of the screen (to the left of the Bookmarks button, it is a square with an arrow in it.)
• Select "Add to Home Screen"
• Give it a name and click "Add" at the top of the screen.
• Now you can visit that site with one click instead of 3!
•  Make a folder of all your website icons so they are easy to find (well, that would add another click wouldn't it) or organize them all on to one home page.

iPhone tip - How do I bookmark a page in safari

If you would like to add a bookmark in Safari on your iPhone in the same fashion that you would on your computer it is quite simple:

• Open Safari and visit the website you would like to bookmark.
• Click the soft button at the bottom of the app that looks like a square with an arrow jumping out of it to the right.
• Click Add Bookmark.
• Give it a name and click Save at the top or Done on the keyboard.

To visit that site:

• Open Safari.
• Click the button at the bottom of the screen that looks like a book.
• If you are viewing your history click the button (looks like an arrow) that is at the top of the screen and says Bookmarks.
• Select the bookmark you would like to visit and page opens.

Simple:

• Get your screen to look the way you want the screen shot to look.
• Hold down the *HOME button and then press the POWER button.
• DONE!  The image is now in your camera roll.

 *the Home button is the button on the face of the phone (near the bottom of the screen) while the power button is located on the top of the phone, right hand corner.
